Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Manuscripts submitted to Clepsidra. Interdisciplinary Journal of Memory Studies must be original research articles. They should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal.
  • Articles should be no longer than 8,000 words and no shorter than 6,000 words. Reviews should be no longer than 1,200 words, including footnotes and references.
  • Articles must include title, abstract and six (6) keywords (in lower-case letters) in Spanish and English, name and affiliation of author(s) (with full name of the institutions), and full references.
  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Word or Open Office format, featuring A4 page size, 2.5 cm margins, 1.5 lines and 12-pt Times New Roman.
  • The text must comply with the stylistic and bibliographical requirements set out in the Author Guidelines in the About the Journal section.

Author Guidelines

-Manuscripts submitted for publication must be unpublished. Articles must be written either in Spanish or Portuguese. Authors are responsible for any translation of manuscripts into these languages.

-Tables, graphs and photographs must be sent separately, properly numbered and with their corresponding titles. Tables and graphs must include the units in which values are expressed and the corresponding sources. Photos should be sent in jpg format and in high resolution, in a separate file, with the applicable reproduction permissions. Information about the sources of the photographs, together with brief captions about the contents must be sent in a separate Word file.

-Any clarification regarding the manuscript (previous presentations of research findings, collaborators, acknowledgements, etc.) must be indicated with an asterisk in the title. Institutional affiliation, author’s bio and contact information will be indicated with double asterisk after the author(s) name(s).

-Authors are not charged for copyediting and publication of manuscripts.

-The text must follow the style guidelines described in the Publication Manual (7th edition) of the American Psychological Association (APA).

The journal’s acceptance of the manuscript implies the authors’ agreement to not submit their article simultaneously to other journals or publications, and to a non-exclusive assignment of the intellectual property rights to the editor, who will allow re-use after publication (postprint), under license Creative Commons 4.0. Attribution-NoCommercial-ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/deed.es) .

It is allowed to read, download, share, copy, redistribute, adapt and transform the contents of any work/manuscript in any medium or format, provided that: a) both authorship and the original published source are properly cited (journal, Publisher and URL of the work); b) they will not be used for commercial purposes; c) they abide by the terms of the license

The article in question has not been published previously or under consideration for publishing in any other journal, whether national or foreign

The authors hereby accept the modifications suggested by the reviewers and the Editorial Team to adapt the work to the style of the journal.
